MEET THE DEJESUS FAMILY

We are the DeJesus family, David and Britney. We have two sweet little girls, Charlotte and Berkeley! We adore them so much that we decided to name our winery after our daughter Berkeley and the property itself, now a working farm and ranch Charlotte. We have been pouring as much love into the land and vineyard as we do our daughters and we're so excited to have the opportunity to bring a fresh new beginning to what is already a beautiful piece of Colorado!

Unique Location, Distinctive Flavor

Nestled in the fertile Uncompahgre Valley of central Colorado, Berkeley Estate Cellars produces graceful, yet complex wines that mirror its landscape. Gouged by Black Canyon of the Gunnison, the region boasts plentiful irrigation and, in 1999, was established as a National Park by President Clinton.

The town of Olathe, Colorado, is at the same latitude as Napa Valley, California, and while our wines are similar in some respects, they are also very distinctive. A higher growing altitude (5,000 feet); rocky, sandy soil; and variable weather combine to create wines that are brighter, more complex and bigger in flavor.

The vineyard, formerly known as Garrett Estate Cellars, was established in 2003 in Olathe, a Western Slope community known for producing a variety of fruits including apples, peaches and of course, wine grapes.
